Hi guys,
Finally found a 2015 Mondeo instrument cluster(FS7T-10849-BJB) for my imported 2013 Fusion from the US to Europe. I already transferred the milage and updated to the latest 2015 Mondeo software with the module updater. Now I'm trying to update to the actual latest firmware from Jan 2017:
GS7T-14C026-AJE
GS7T-14C026-BJE
GS7T-14C088-AJE
GS7T-14C088-BJE
For this I'm using the VBS loader and select the Mondeo 2015> and MY13 but get the message failed to receive HW part number. Also I'm not able to select HS3 instead of CAN_HS.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
After updating to a newer (or latest) FW is anyone having problems with PDC (Parking Distance Control)? Icon of the car not present on right upper corner on screen on reverse (not in Parking Assist Mode!!) but sound is OK.
Regards,
Adrian.

Hi, not clear and not sufficient informations for me to understand what you updated and in which environment.....
Starting from a FW update of high level IPC (digital cluster) on mondeo 2016 (GS7T strategy) with Sync 3 APIM for me all went ok and PDC image is present in the right corner in reverse and in the center of the screen in normal driving.
If you've not updated other modules (PAM?) i think that drive the car for some km's at variable speed could help to inizialize some functions in modules, that could be reset during programming.
For me the board computer 1 and 2, instant fuel, and fuel hystory all reset to zero and lose all previous statistics that were stored in them.
Either the tyre pressure monitor (in bar) was reset to "--" symbol in all four wheels, and restarted to display pressure after driving a while.
So tell us what configuration you have, drive the car a while and then recheck if all is working.
P.S: Remember to delete all DTC that are surely stored in memory....for me was a tonn, but it's part of the programming process!!
Hope this will help!
Regards

Hi,
Here are the steps I've made:
1. Stock version on IPC (only tyre pressure was activated before with FORScan):
<m module="IPC">
<d DID="F110" Desc="On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number" Data="DS-DS7T-1A292-BJA"/>
<d DID="F111" Desc="ECU Core Assembly Number" Data="DS7T-14F094-AJA"/>
<d DID="F113" Desc="ECU Delivery Assembly Number" Data="FS7T-10849-BLB"/>
<d DID="F120" Desc="ECU Software #2 Part Number" Data="FS7T-14C026-BJB"/>
<d DID="F124" Desc="ECU Calibration Data #1 Number" Data="FS7T-14C088-AJB"/>
<d DID="F125" Desc="ECU Calibration Data #2 Number" Data="FS7T-14C088-BJB"/>
<d DID="F162" Desc="Software Download Specification Version" Data=""/>
<d DID="F163" Desc="Diagnostic Specification Version" Data="0x03"/>
<d DID="F188" Desc="Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number" Data="FS7T-14C026-AJB"/>
<d DID="F18C" Desc="ECU Serial Number" Data="RNLB040590"/>
2. IPC updated with UCDS through wizard:
<m module="IPC">
<d DID="F110" Desc="On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number" Data="DS-EM2T-1A292-JAA"/>
<d DID="F111" Desc="ECU Core Assembly Number" Data="DS7T-14F094-AJA"/>
<d DID="F113" Desc="ECU Delivery Assembly Number" Data="FS7T-10849-BLB"/>
<d DID="F120" Desc="ECU Software #2 Part Number" Data="FS7T-14C026-BJG"/>
<d DID="F124" Desc="ECU Calibration Data #1 Number" Data="FS7T-14C088-AJG"/>
<d DID="F125" Desc="ECU Calibration Data #2 Number" Data="FS7T-14C088-BJG"/>
<d DID="F162" Desc="Software Download Specification Version" Data=""/>
<d DID="F163" Desc="Diagnostic Specification Version" Data="0x03"/>
<d DID="F188" Desc="Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number" Data="FS7T-14C026-AJG"/>
<d DID="F18C" Desc="ECU Serial Number" Data="RNLB040590"/>
At this moment, the tyre pressure menu was there but reset to "-" for a while
3. Activated Speedometer in center of IPC (with UCDS)
4. Changed Sync 2 with Sync 3
At this time I did not test the PDC image for reverse!
5. PAM stock was:
<m module="PAM">
<d DID="F10A" Desc="ECU Cal-Config Part Number" Data="FS73-14C647-ZD"/>
<d DID="F110" Desc="On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number" Data="DS-FU5T-15K866-BF"/>
<d DID="F111" Desc="ECU Core Assembly Number" Data="FU5T-14F159-BA"/>
<d DID="F113" Desc="ECU Delivery Assembly Number" Data="FU5T-15K866-BF"/>
<d DID="F162" Desc="Software Download Specification Version" Data=""/>
<d DID="F163" Desc="Diagnostic Specification Version" Data="0x03"/>
<d DID="F188" Desc="Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number" Data="FU5T-14C090-BF"/>
6. Updated pam with UCDS wizard:
<m module="PAM">
<d DID="F10A" Desc="ECU Cal-Config Part Number" Data="PAM-Default-Config-12ch"/>
<d DID="F110" Desc="On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number" Data="DS-FU5T-15K866-BK"/>
<d DID="F111" Desc="ECU Core Assembly Number" Data="FU5T-14F159-BA"/>
<d DID="F113" Desc="ECU Delivery Assembly Number" Data="FU5T-15K866-BF"/>
<d DID="F162" Desc="Software Download Specification Version" Data=""/>
<d DID="F163" Desc="Diagnostic Specification Version" Data="0x03"/>
<d DID="F188" Desc="Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number" Data="FU5T-14C090-BK"/>
From this moment the Active Park Assist was not worked and I get DTC as:
DTC Error read - PAM
DTC Errors: 1
U2101 - Control Module Configuration Incompatible
Ext.Status: 2B - Closed.(DTC) Present at Time of Request.
00- Error status not found in base....
===PAM DTC U2101:00-2B===
Code: U2101 - Control Module Configuration Incompatible
Status:
- DTC Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
Module: Parking Aid Module
===END PAM DTC U2101:00-2B===
Dan told me to reflash it because I lost your ECU Calibration file in that flash I did.
7. I have flashed from VBL:
<m module="PAM">
<d DID="F10A" Desc="ECU Cal-Config Part Number" Data="FS73-14C647-ZD"/>
<d DID="F110" Desc="On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number" Data="DS-FU5T-15K866-BF"/>
<d DID="F111" Desc="ECU Core Assembly Number" Data="FU5T-14F159-BA"/>
<d DID="F113" Desc="ECU Delivery Assembly Number" Data="FU5T-15K866-BF"/>
<d DID="F162" Desc="Software Download Specification Version" Data=""/>
<d DID="F163" Desc="Diagnostic Specification Version" Data="0x03"/>
<d DID="F188" Desc="Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number" Data="FU5T-14C090-BF"/>
and then:
<m module="PAM">
<d DID="F10A" Desc="ECU Cal-Config Part Number" Data="FS73-14C647-ZJ"/>
<d DID="F110" Desc="On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number" Data="DS-FU5T-15K866-BK"/>
<d DID="F111" Desc="ECU Core Assembly Number" Data="FU5T-14F159-BA"/>
<d DID="F113" Desc="ECU Delivery Assembly Number" Data="FU5T-15K866-BF"/>
<d DID="F162" Desc="Software Download Specification Version" Data=""/>
<d DID="F163" Desc="Diagnostic Specification Version" Data="0x03"/>
<d DID="F188" Desc="Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number" Data="FU5T-14C090-BL"/>
The Active Park Assist was starting to work (for both versions) having the PDC image present on screen BUT the PDC image was NOT present on screen for reverse (without active park assist) for none of them.
Of course I have deleted al DTCs and drive for a vhile to calibrate the PSCM.
So, my question is if the IPC update can have something to do with PDC image for "regular reverse".
One more:
Checking the history of my versions before and after update of IPC, I've found the following strange thing:
- Original IPC:
<m module="IPC">
<d DID="F110" Desc="On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number" Data="DS-DS7T-1A292-BJA"/>
<d DID="F111" Desc="ECU Core Assembly Number" Data="DS7T-14F094-AJA"/>
<d DID="F113" Desc="ECU Delivery Assembly Number" Data="FS7T-10849-BLB"/>
<d DID="F120" Desc="ECU Software #2 Part Number" Data="FS7T-14C026-BJB"/>
<d DID="F124" Desc="ECU Calibration Data #1 Number" Data="FS7T-14C088-AJB"/>
<d DID="F125" Desc="ECU Calibration Data #2 Number" Data="FS7T-14C088-BJB"/>
<d DID="F162" Desc="Software Download Specification Version" Data=""/>
<d DID="F163" Desc="Diagnostic Specification Version" Data="0x03"/>
<d DID="F188" Desc="Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number" Data="FS7T-14C026-AJB"/>
<d DID="F18C" Desc="ECU Serial Number" Data="RNLB040590"/>
</m>
- After UCDS wizard update:
<m module="IPC">
<d DID="F110" Desc="On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number" Data="DS-EM2T-1A292-JAA"/>
<d DID="F111" Desc="ECU Core Assembly Number" Data="DS7T-14F094-AJA"/>
<d DID="F113" Desc="ECU Delivery Assembly Number" Data="FS7T-10849-BLB"/>
<d DID="F120" Desc="ECU Software #2 Part Number" Data="FS7T-14C026-BJG"/>
<d DID="F124" Desc="ECU Calibration Data #1 Number" Data="FS7T-14C088-AJG"/>
<d DID="F125" Desc="ECU Calibration Data #2 Number" Data="FS7T-14C088-BJG"/>
<d DID="F162" Desc="Software Download Specification Version" Data=""/>
<d DID="F163" Desc="Diagnostic Specification Version" Data="0x03"/>
<d DID="F188" Desc="Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number" Data="FS7T-14C026-AJG"/>
<d DID="F18C" Desc="ECU Serial Number" Data="RNLB040590"/>
</m>
What I consider strange is the fact that the file which I consider to be correct exist on FORD server (can be downloaded): FS7T-14C026-AJB (and FS7T-14C026-AJG too).
More, I see that the update you've made on IPC has the following files:
GS7T-14C026-AJE
GS7T-14C026-BJE
GS7T-14C088-AJE
GS7T-14C088-BJE
I mean the first two have the same 14C026 but in my case one is 10849 and second one is 14C026.
Maybe I am wrong with my assumptions?
Coming back, from where can be the problem that PDC is not on screen on "regular reverse" but present for Active Park Assist?
Also, is my IPC config OK now? Should I update to AJE/BJE version?
PS: Dan has checked my APIN and PAM ABD files to be OK.
Regards,
Adrian

Ahh...... Huge modifications here!
Dan is the guy who can help you at all, I've only upgraded to the latest calibration for my HW part number and all went ok!
What i can say is that GS7T is referred for 2016 Mondeo IPC Cluster, and FS7T is 2015 Cluster. You're already on latest calibration version for your HW part number.....but with VBF loader is possible to force an update for different part number.
But it's really dangerous, i don't recommend this, even if (i repeat) Dan could help you.
Sorry not helped you so much.
Good luck!

Hi,
Dan has already tried. He was so kind. Unfortunately no result.
The IPC FW is no problem. I have "downgraded" to the stock one and the PDC is still not on screen.
Now I have the stock IPC and stock PAM (and stock ABD settings). The single change is Sync 3 instead of Sync 2. Still no PDC.
Tonight I'll change back the Sync 2 to see if the PDC will appear on it.

Yeah, i too think that there's something incompatible within the sync2->sync3 exchange....
Keep us informed!

Just checked.
On Sync 2 I have the PDC but when I install the Sync 3 I don't have it.
For me it looks like something missing in the APIM config.
But as I said, Dan has tried to find the problem but without success.
If anyone want to look on the Sync 3 APIM ABD, I can send it. With thanks in advance.

I can check and compare your direct configuration of sync 3 with mine. So PM me it!
I've not the skill of Dan but who knows.....
Hope to help.
Cheers

Very strange...
Regarding PAM, you have the following:
F10A - ECU Cal-Config Part Number : FS73-14C647-SH
F110 - On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number : DS-FU5T-15K866-BJ
F111 - ECU Core Assembly Number : FU5T-14F159-BA
F113 - ECU Delivery Assembly Number : FU5T-15K866-BJ
F162 - Software Download Specification Version :
F163 - Diagnostic Specification Version : 0x03
F188 - Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number : FU5T-14C090-BJ
F18C - ECU Serial Number :
I have:
F10A - ECU Cal-Config Part Number : FS73-14C647-ZD
F110 - On-line Diagnostic Database Reference Number : DS-FU5T-15K866-BF
F111 - ECU Core Assembly Number : FU5T-14F159-BA
F113 - ECU Delivery Assembly Number : FU5T-15K866-BF
F162 - Software Download Specification Version :
F163 - Diagnostic Specification Version : 0x03
F188 - Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Software Number : FU5T-14C090-BF
F18C - ECU Serial Number :
I was trying to download the calibration file FS73-14C647-SH but is not available.
More, if I am updating with BJ version (from my BF), I always have "F113 - ECU Delivery Assembly Number : FU5T-15K866-BF". This is the Part Number (HW) of my PAM? Can be the problem from a HW incompatibility?
