Ford Fusion 2013 Direct BCM programming issue

Hi there,

Having trouble with 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid tail lights programming using UCDS Direct Config. Tail lights are simple SE type, not Titanium ones.
The case is that needed to make EU specs taillights from USA. Rework was done, sections separated, LED's changed no problem.

The issue I'm having is I can't set STOP LAMP CFG to Stop_Position, whenever I change this bit and try to write to module I get error, after reread from module config still stays at " STOP_Only ":

"Failed to write block DE1B of data... Error: Incorrect message Length or Invalid Format [0x13] "

I've successfully used direct config for 2015 Ford Fusion tail light rework and it worked at first try. Trying to sort out what to do here to make it work as intended.

The 2013 Fusion BCM is completely different than the 2014-2017 BCM (2018+ have another different BCM, but use the same as-built data entries, so I guess you could say they are the same as 2014+)

You can mess with this:

The taillight type on a 2013 is in 726-41-01
xxxX xxxx xx

1 (EU Mondeo Tail Lights)
3 ( S/SE Tail Lights)
4 (Titanium Tail Lights)

Note: Mondeo Tail Lights - May have to change entire line to: 0101 0000 71

Hi Dan,

Yes, I'm aware that MY13 BCM is different than MY14-17, that's probably why i have issue with it.

The issue is that I already tried setting 726-41-01 xxxX xxxx xx to 1 and result was- lower and upper led sections functioned independently but there was no Position Light present, LED's only light on when I press brake. All other time there is no voltage coming on that pin.

I have now tried to compare stock as built data imported to UCDS and than saved to direct config file with data that i generate using direct config if I set values to desired ones.

Stock as built direct config value: DID ID="DE1B">0202020202</DID
Modified as built direct config value, that gives error mentioned before: DID ID="DE1B">01020001010001</DID

Quite confused now where to look for solution. Any input on this would be appreciated.
